Choosing Your Environment

Chargebee provides separate sites and API keys for live (production) and test environments. Choose the appropriate environment based on your use case.

Select the environment in StackOne

You select the environment in StackOne Hub while linking your Chargebee account — StackOne Hub shows an Environment choice (Production or Test) alongside the API Key and Site Name fields. Pick the one that matches the site whose API key you generated.

  • Production — Use for real billing with actual customer data and charges. Your site name does not end with -test and your API key starts with live_.
  • Test — Use for development and testing without processing real payments. Your site name ends with -test and your API key starts with test_.
  • Test sites use simulated data and test payment methods
  • You can switch environments later by creating a new connection

Creating the StackOne Connector Profile

To create the Connector Profile in StackOne for Chargebee:

Navigate to Connector Profiles

Login to StackOne and navigate to Connector Profiles

Create New Connector Profile

  • Click + Connector Profile
  • Search for and select Chargebee
  • Select Type as API Key
  • (Optional) Select Actions to be enabled for this Connector Profile
  • Click Create profile
Congratulations! The new Connector Profile will now show up in your project ready to be used. You can now continue to Link Accounts for Chargebee.
