Create a Samsara OAuth 2.0 app

Register an OAuth 2.0 app in the Samsara dashboard to obtain an App ID and App Secret.

Open OAuth 2.0 Apps

In the Samsara dashboard, go to Settings > OAuth 2.0 Apps and create a new app.

Configure the app

Enter an app name, upload a logo, set the redirect URL to https://api.stackone.com/connect/oauth2/samsara/callback, and select the Read or Write scopes for each category the connector needs.

Copy the credentials

Copy the App ID (Client ID) and App Secret (Client Secret) into the fields below.

Creating the StackOne Connector Profile

To create the Connector Profile in StackOne for Samsara:

Open the connector

Log in to StackOne, open Connectors, and select Samsara.

Choose actions and events

  • Click Add Profile.
  • If the connector offers more than one authentication method, set the Auth Method filter to OAuth 2.0.
  • Select the actions, and any events, to enable for this Connector Profile.
  • Click Continue.

Set up authentication

  • Select Authentication Type as OAuth 2.0.
  • Fill out the fields using details retrieved from your provider:
    • Client ID
    • Client Secret
  • Click Create Profile.
Congratulations! The new Connector Profile now shows up on the connector page. If you created it as a project member rather than an admin, it starts disabled until a project admin enables it. You can now continue to Link Accounts for Samsara.
