Request partner OAuth credentials
StackOne connects to Remote through partner OAuth credentials that Remote creates for you. Remote also registers the redirect URI that the sign-in returns to, and it must match the Callback URL from your StackOne Connector Profile character for character.
Contact Remote's partnerships team
Ask Remote’s partnerships team for partner API access with the Authorization Code flow.
- Request credentials for the environment you plan to connect (Sandbox or Production). Sandbox and production credentials are separate.
- Give Remote the Callback URL from your StackOne Connector Profile as the redirect URI to register.
Copy the client credentials
Remote sends you a CLIENT_ID and a CLIENT_SECRET.
- Paste the
CLIENT_IDinto the Client ID field in the StackOne Connector Profile. - Paste the
CLIENT_SECRETinto the Client Secret field in the StackOne Connector Profile. - Store the secret securely and never expose it in client-side code.
Choose the OAuth scopes
Remote scopes are requested during sign-in, not configured on the credentials. A write scope also grants its read scope.
Enter the scopes to request
In the Scopes field of the StackOne Connector Profile, enter the Remote OAuth scopes to request, separated by a space. Leave the field empty to request the connector’s default scopes. The scopes used by this connector’s actions are listed below.
Approve access in Remote
When an account is connected, the user is sent to Remote to sign in and approve the requested access.
- The approving user must be an Owner or Admin of the Remote company.
- Access is limited to the approved scopes and to that one company.
