Only Admin users can create API tokens. If you don’t have Admin privileges, ask an admin on your team to generate a token for you.

Generating an API Token

To connect Pylon with StackOne, you’ll need to generate an API token from your Pylon workspace settings.

Access API Tokens Settings

Sign in to your Pylon workspace.

Create New API Token

Click the Create button to generate a new API token.

  • Enter a descriptive name for your token (e.g., “StackOne Integration”)
  • Choose an icon to help identify this token (optional)

Copy and Secure the Token

Once created, copy your API token immediately and store it securely for use later.

  • Copy the token that starts with pylon_
  • Treat this token like a password - never share it publicly

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Token

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
