Only the Account Owner can create, edit, or manage API tokens. Contact your Account Owner if you need token access. A new token is shown only once and cannot be retrieved after you leave the page.

Generate an API token

Create a bearer API token in Wistia and paste it into StackOne.

Sign in to Wistia

Sign in to your Wistia account.

Open the API Tokens page

Click your account avatar in the top-right corner, select Settings, then click the API Home tab in the sidebar.

Create a new token

On the API Tokens page, click New token.

  • Wistia warns: New tokens will be unrecoverable once you leave this page — copy the token before closing it, as it cannot be retrieved later.

Name the token and select a permission

In the New API token dialog, name the token and choose what it can access.

  • Enter a Token nickname, for example StackOne Integration.
  • Select Read, update & delete anything for full access, or choose the specific scopes you need: Read all data, Read all folder and media data, Upload media, or Read detailed stats.
  • Click Create token.
  • Copy the generated token and paste it into the API Token field in StackOne Hub.

Optional webhook fields

The Native Webhook URL and Webhook Secret Key fields are only needed if you use native Wistia webhook events. You can leave them empty for standard API access — see the webhook setup guide if you want to receive events.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Token
  • Webhook Secret Key (Optional)

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account on your Accounts page.
