Generating a Site API Token
To connect Webflow with StackOne using a Site Token, you need to generate an API token from your site settings. Each token is scoped to a single site.
Open Site Settings
Sign in to your Webflow Dashboard and select your Site.
- Click on the site you want to connect
- Click Site Settings (gear icon) in the top bar
Navigate to Apps & Integrations
In the left sidebar of Site Settings, find the Apps & Integrations section.
- In the left sidebar, click Apps & Integrations
- Scroll down past Google tag, Google Maps, Meta Pixel, and Connected Apps sections
- Find the API access section at the bottom
Generate API Token
In the API access section, click Generate API token.
- Enter a Token name (e.g., StackOne Integration)
- Under Permissions, set the required access level for each resource
- Grant Edit and read access for resources you need (Assets, Comments, CMS, Components, Ecommerce, Forms, Pages, Sites, Site config, User Accounts, Workspace)
- Important: Ensure Authorized user has at least Read-only access - this is required for the connection test
- Click Generate token
Copy the token
Copy the generated token immediately and store it securely for use later.
- The token is only displayed once at the time of generation
- If lost, you must generate a new token and revoke the old one
- Maximum 5 tokens per site
- API tokens expire after 365 consecutive days of inactivity
- This token provides access to this specific site only
- Custom Code permission can be granted but the API will not allow access with Site Tokens (use OAuth instead)
Linking the Account from the Hub
Navigate to the Hub
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
