The API token inherits the role and permissions of the Workday VNDLY user who generates it. Use a user with permissions to every resource you need StackOne to access — typically a program admin. Rate limits are enforced per token.

Find your VNDLY tenant subdomain

Your VNDLY tenant subdomain is the unique identifier in your Workday VNDLY URL.

  • Check your browser address bar when signed in to Workday VNDLY.
  • Example: if your URL is https://acme.vndly.com, your tenant subdomain is acme.

Generate an API token

Workday VNDLY API tokens are generated from within your user profile.

Sign in to Workday VNDLY

Sign in to your Workday VNDLY account using your tenant URL.

Open My Profile

Open the drop-down menu under your name and select My Profile.

Generate the API Token

In the API Token section of your profile, generate a new token and store it securely for use later.

  • The token inherits your user’s role and permissions in Workday VNDLY.
  • Regenerating replaces the previous token — any integrations using the old value will need to be updated.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • VNDLY Tenant Subdomain
  • API Token

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
