Getting your API key
Specter issues one API key per team, from the API Console in the Specter app.

Open the API Console
Sign in to Specter and go to the API Console.

Request access if you have no key
If no key is shown, click Request API Access.
- Requests are reviewed and approved within one business day, so this is not instant.
- Access is plan-gated — Specter offers an Enrichment plan and a Full plan, which differ in the endpoints and credits available to you.

Copy your key
Once approved, copy the key from the API Console and paste it below.
- The key is team-level — everyone in the workspace shares it, and rate and credit limits are enforced per workspace.
- Store it securely; treat it as a shared secret for your whole team.
Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub
Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields
Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
- API Key

Connect
- Click Connect
- If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
- Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
