softgarden does NOT expose client_secret in the in-product UI. Only client_id is shown after creation. You MUST email support@softgarden.de to receive a matching client_secret before this connector can authenticate (1-3 business day turnaround).

Get a softgarden tenant

You need a softgarden tenant to create an OAuth client. softgarden offers a 14-day free trial of the ATS — no credit card required.

1

Start a softgarden trial (or use an existing tenant)

Sign up for a 14-day free trial at softgarden’s trial signup. If you already have a paid tenant, skip this step.

2

Sign in to softgarden

Sign in to your softgarden account with the user that should own the OAuth client.

Create an API client

Generate the Client ID from the in-product Account settings.

1

Open Account Settings → Additional Features

In the softgarden app, navigate to Account settingsAdditional Features tab. Scroll to the API client section.

2

Create an API client

Enter a name (e.g. “StackOne Integration”) and click Create. softgarden displays the Client ID.

  • Copy the Client ID — you’ll need it below.
  • Important: softgarden does NOT show a Client Secret here. Public clients (no secret) cannot authenticate via client_credentials — proceed to the next step to request one.

Request a Client Secret from softgarden support

Email softgarden support to provision a confidential client (with secret) for OAuth client_credentials grant.

1

Email support@softgarden.de

Send an email to support@softgarden.de with subject “OAuth client_secret request for API integration (StackOne)”.

  • Include your tenant identifier / company name.
  • Include the Client ID you created.
  • Request a Client Secret for the OAuth 2.0 client_credentials grant.
  • Note expected turnaround is 1-3 business days.
2

Wait for the credentials

softgarden support replies with the Client Secret. Save both Client ID and Client Secret securely. The Client Secret is not retrievable later — if lost, request a new one.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.
