Owner-level permissions are required to generate an Access Token.

Generating an Access Token

To connect Simployer with StackOne, you need to generate an Access Token from your Simployer account.

Sign in to Simployer

Sign in to your Simployer account with an account that has Owner permissions.

Navigate to Access Tokens

Go to Settings → Access tokens, or navigate directly to Access tokens.

Create a new Access Token

Fill in the following fields to create a new Access Token.

  • Name: Enter a name for the token (e.g., StackOne Integration)
  • Description: Add an optional description
  • Type: Select All for full API access, or choose Public or Provisioning for specific access

Save and copy the Access Token

Click Save to generate the token. Copy the Access Token immediately and store it securely for use later.

  • The token is only displayed once and cannot be retrieved again
  • If the token is lost, you will need to generate a new one
  • The token is tied to your user account and will become invalid if your permissions change or your account is removed

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • Access Token

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
