Ensure that your Retool account has Admin privileges.

Log in to Retool

Log in to your Retool account to access the API settings.

Create a New API Token

Generate an API token from your Retool settings to authenticate API requests.

Navigate to Your Profile

Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

Create New API Token

Click the Retool API tab, then click the Create new button.

Configure Token Details

Enter a Name and Description for the token, then select the appropriate Scopes for your integration.

Copy your API Token

Your new API token will be displayed only once. Copy and store it securely for use later.

Get your API Host

Your API Host depends on your Retool deployment type.

  • For cloud-hosted Retool, use: api.retool.com
  • For self-hosted deployments, use your instance URL (e.g., retool.yourcompany.com)
  • Note: The subdomain is based on the organization name entered in Retool

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Token
  • API Host

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
