Generate an API key
An API key authenticates requests to Qlik Cloud with the same permissions as the user who created it.
Grant the Manage API Keys permission
Sign in to Qlik Cloud with a Tenant Admin account.
- In the Administration activity center, click Manage users in the left sidebar.
- Select the Permissions tab at the top.
- Click the User Default button in the top right corner.
- In the User Default dialog, expand Features and actions.
- Expand the Developer section.
- Set Manage API keys to Allowed.
- Click Confirm to save the changes.
Generate a new API key
In the Administration activity center, click API keys in the left sidebar.
- Click Generate new > Generate new key.
- In the API key description field, enter a name (e.g.,
StackOne Integration). - For Expires in, select 1 day (recommended for longer-running integrations; the other option is 6 hours).
- Click Generate.
Find your Tenant Name and Region
When connecting in StackOne, you will need your Tenant Name and Region.
Locate from your browser URL
After logging in to Qlik Cloud, look at the URL in your browser address bar. It follows this format:https://<tenant-name>.<region>.qlikcloud.com
For example, if your URL is https://my-company.us.qlikcloud.com/hub:
- Tenant Name is
my-company. - Region is
us(the part between the tenant name andqlikcloud.com).
Linking the Account from the Hub
Navigate to the Hub
Fill out the fields
- Tenant Name
- Region
- API Key
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
