Ensure you have Admin privileges for your Pinpoint account.

Getting Your Subdomain

Your Pinpoint subdomain is part of the URL you use to access your account.

Find the Subdomain

In the URL bar of your browser, find the subdomain by selecting the text in front of .pinpointhq.com.

  • For example, if your URL is https://acme.pinpointhq.com, your subdomain is acme

Generating API Key

Generate an API key from your Pinpoint account settings.

Access API Settings

Sign in to your Pinpoint account.

  • Click Settings in the left sidebar
  • Select API & Webhooks
  • Ensure the Pinpoint API toggle in the top-right corner is enabled

Create a New API Key

Navigate to the API Keys tab.

  • Click Create New
  • Enter a name for the API Key (e.g., “StackOne”)
  • Assign permissions (Read for read-only access, or Write and Delete for full access)
  • Important: You must enable at least Job - Read permission to establish the connection
  • Click Create API Key

Copy the API Key

Your API Key will be generated and displayed. Copy the API Key and store it securely for use later.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • Subdomain
  • API Key

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
