Pinecone says service accounts are available only on the Enterprise plan, and that organization owners add them. Pinecone does not document which organization role a service account needs to read members and role bindings. It describes Organization owner as full control over the organization, including billing, members, service accounts, security, and every project, so choose that role unless Pinecone confirms a lower one works.

Create a service account

The service account holds the Client ID and Client Secret that StackOne exchanges for access tokens.

1

Open the service accounts page

Sign in to the Pinecone console, then go to Settings > Access > Service accounts.

2

Add the service account

Enter a Name such as StackOne, choose an Organization role, then click Create.

3

Copy the credentials

Copy the Client secret before you close the dialog, because Pinecone shows it only once. Keep the service account’s Client ID as well.

Connect the account

The Client ID and Client Secret belong to your own Pinecone organization, so you enter them on the account when you connect it.

1

Enter the credentials

In the connection form, paste the service account’s Client ID and Client Secret into the matching fields.

1

Connect
