Ensure you have appropriate permissions in your PagerDuty account to generate API keys and access the required resources.

Generating an API Access Key

To connect PagerDuty with StackOne, you’ll need to generate an API access key from your PagerDuty account.

Sign in and navigate to API Access Keys

Sign in to your PagerDuty account.

  • Hover over the Integrations tab in the top navigation bar.
  • Under the Developer Tools section, click on API Access Keys.

Create a new API key

On the API Access Keys page, click the + Create New API Key button.

Configure the API key

In the popup dialog, enter a description for your API key to help identify its purpose.

  • Example description: StackOne Integration
  • Click the Create Key button

Copy the API key

After creation, your new API key will be displayed in the popup. The API key will be displayed only once and cannot be retrieved later, so copy it and store it securely for use later.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Key

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
