Connect without credentials
The No Authentication (public APIs only) method needs no account, API key, or OAuth application. It connects to OpenStreetMap’s public read and query APIs only, so there is nothing to configure on OpenStreetMap’s side.
Select the No Authentication method
In StackOne Hub, choose the No Authentication (public APIs only) method and connect. Leave all credential fields empty — none are required.
Review what this connection can access
This connection can call only OpenStreetMap’s public, credential-free APIs:
- Nominatim geocoding — search, reverse-geocode, lookup, details, and status.
- Overpass API — Overpass QL feature queries.
- Public OpenStreetMap read endpoints — map data, nodes, ways, relations, changesets, notes, user profiles, and API capabilities.
- Any action that edits the map or reads a user’s private data (element/changeset/note writes, preferences, GPS traces, messages) requires the OAuth 2.0 method instead and will fail on this connection.
