Find Your Workspace ID and Data Center

MoEngage uses HTTP Basic Auth where the username is your Workspace ID. The data center number tells the connector which regional API host to call.

Find your Data Center number

Your data center is embedded in your dashboard URL.

  • Open your MoEngage dashboard. The URL is dashboard-0X.moengage.com where 0X is your data center number (01–06).
  • Common regions: 01/04 = US, 02 = EU, 03 = India, 05 = Singapore, 06 = Indonesia.
  • Note the number — you will enter it as the Data Center value when connecting.

Copy your Workspace ID

Workspace ID is the username portion of Basic Auth.

  • In the MoEngage dashboard, click your profile / settings icon, then go to Settings → Account → APIs.
  • Locate the Workspace ID field (in legacy workspaces it may be labelled “App ID”).
  • Click the copy icon next to the Workspace ID. Save it for the Workspace ID field below.

Generate an API Key

Modern MoEngage workspaces use the API Key Dashboard to issue multi-permission keys. Generate a single key that has access to every API your integration needs.

Open the API Key Dashboard

The API Key Dashboard is under the same Settings → Account → APIs page.

  • From the APIs page, switch to the API Key Dashboard tab.

Create a new key

Issue a multi-permission key with access to all APIs the connector calls.

  • Click Create API Key.
  • Give it a name such as “StackOne Integration”.
  • Under Select APIs for access, check the boxes for Data, Segmentation, Push, Campaign Report, Business Events, Custom Templates, Content Blocks, Catalog, Subscription Preferences, Personalize, and Recommendations — every API you intend to use.
  • Click Create.
  • Copy the API key value from the confirmation dialog and store it securely. MoEngage shows the key in full only once.

Notes on legacy workspaces

Older MoEngage workspaces split API keys into per-tile keys (Data, Push, Campaign Report, Business Events, Custom Templates). If you are on a legacy workspace, you must enable the API Key Dashboard before you can issue a single multi-permission key. Contact MoEngage Support if the dashboard is not visible in your account.

Confirm dashboard availability

The connector requires a single API key. Per-tile keys are not currently supported.

  • If you only see per-tile keys (Data tile, Push tile, etc.) and no API Key Dashboard, raise a support request with MoEngage to enable the dashboard for your workspace.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • Workspace ID
  • Data API Key
  • Campaign Report / Business Events / Templates / Catalog / Inform API Key
  • Data Center

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
