Only Lusha account Admins or Managers can access the API page and create API keys. The free and starter plans support a single API key — creating multiple named API keys requires upgrading to a paid plan (Professional, Premium, or Scale).

Generating Your Lusha API Key

Your Lusha API key authenticates all requests to Lusha’s REST API and MCP server. Keys are tied to your Lusha account and subscription plan, which determines your rate limits and credit allowance.

1

Sign in to your Lusha dashboard

Sign in to your Lusha dashboard using an Admin or Manager account.

2

Open the API page

Click the API link in the top-right header (next to the settings/gear icon), or open the Manage API Keys page directly.

  • If you do not see the API link in the header, your account may not have API access enabled — contact your Customer Success Manager or Lusha support.
3

Open the Manage API Keys tab

On the Lusha API page, switch from the default API tab to the Manage API Keys tab to view existing keys and create new ones.

4

Create or copy an API key

Click the + Create new Key button at the top right to generate a new key. If a key already exists, you can also copy an existing key from the table - click the eye icon to reveal the masked value, then click the copy icon to copy the full key.

  • Format: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 (UUID v4)
  • Each row in the keys table shows Name, masked Key, Created date, Created by, Last used, and Credit usage with a Set limit option.
  • Security: Treat the API key as a secret. Never share it publicly or commit it to version control. Lusha uses the key to track and bill API usage against your account.
  • Store the copied key securely for use later.
