KnowBe4’s Reporting API is available to Platinum, Diamond, SAT Foundation and SAT Advanced customers. A Reporting API token works only with the Reporting actions. The KSAT actions need a Product API token and the user event actions need a User Event API key, each on its own connection.

Find your region

Your region is the KnowBe4 data center that hosts your account. StackOne uses it to pick the Reporting API address for your account.

  • Look at the address in your browser while you are signed in to the KnowBe4 console.
  • Format: {subdomain}.knowbe4.com
  • Example: eu.knowbe4.com
  • training.knowbe4.com is US (training.knowbe4.com)
  • eu.knowbe4.com is EU (eu.knowbe4.com)
  • ca.knowbe4.com is Canada (ca.knowbe4.com)
  • uk.knowbe4.com is UK (uk.knowbe4.com)
  • de.knowbe4.com is Germany (de.knowbe4.com)
  • Select the matching option in the Region field in StackOne Hub.

Create a Reporting API token

A Reporting API token lets StackOne read users, groups, phishing and training data through the Reporting API. It is separate from the Product API token and the User Event API key.

Sign in to KnowBe4

Sign in to your KnowBe4 console as an admin, at the address for your region.

  • Outside the US, use your region’s address instead, for example https://eu.knowbe4.com.
  • Click your email address at the top right of the page and select Account Settings.
  • Navigate to Account Integrations > API.

Turn on Reporting API access

In the Reporting API section, turn on Enable Reporting API Access. Tokens don’t work until this is on.

Create and copy the token

On the Reporting API subtab, click + Create New API Token, name it StackOne Integration and create it.

  • KnowBe4 shows the token once. Later you can see only its last 10 digits, so a lost token needs a new one.
  • Copy the Reporting API Token across.

Replace or revoke the token

Manage the token on the Reporting API subtab under Account Integrations > API.

  • To revoke it, open the Actions menu for the token and select Delete. The connection stops working.
  • KnowBe4 tokens expire after five years at most. Create a new one before then and copy the new Reporting API Token across.

Connect

  • Click Connect.
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup.
