Generating an API Key
To connect JumpCloud with StackOne, you’ll need to generate an API key from your JumpCloud Admin Portal.
Sign in to JumpCloud Admin Portal
Sign in to your JumpCloud Admin Portal.
- For EU region, use JumpCloud EU Portal
Navigate to API Key Settings
In the Admin Portal, click your Profile avatar in the left sidebar.
- Select My API Key from the dropdown menu
Enable API Access (if needed)
If you see “You don’t have permission to view or generate an API Key”, you need to enable API access first.
- Go to Settings > Administrators tab
- Click on your profile name
- Enable API Access and click Save
Generate a New API Key
Click the Generate New API Key button.
- Select an Expiration Date from the menu (30 days, 60 days, 90 days)
Selecting Your API Region
JumpCloud operates in two regions. Select the region that matches your JumpCloud organization.
Finding Your Organization ID (Optional)
The Organization ID is only required if you manage multiple organizations through JumpCloud’s Multi-Tenant Portal (MTP).
When Organization ID is Needed
Organization ID is required for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) using the Multi-Tenant Portal.
- If you only manage one organization, leave this field empty
- MSP Admins need the Organization ID to query specific client organizations
Locate Your Organization ID
To find your Organization ID, navigate to your organization settings in the Admin Portal.
- Go to Settings in the Admin Portal
- Your Organization ID is displayed in the Organization Profile tab
- Format example:

Linking the Account from the Hub
Navigate to the Hub
Fill out the fields
- API Key
- API Region
- Organization ID (Optional)
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
