Only contract administrators and owners can manage users. Generate the token while signed in as one of them, and replace it before its Time To Live ends.

Generating an API token

An API token authenticates requests to the IONOS Cloud API as the user who generated it.

Sign in to IONOS Cloud

Sign in to your IONOS Data Center Designer account.

  • Enter your Email Address and click Next, then enter your Password and click Sign In.
  • Sign in as a contract owner or administrator.

Open the Token Manager

Go to Menu > Management > Token Manager.

Generate a token

Select Generate Token and choose a Time To Live (TTL).

  • Options range from 1 Hour to 365 Days
  • The token stops working when its Time To Live ends.

Copy the token value

Copy the Token Value and paste it into the API Token field in StackOne Hub.

  • The Token Value is displayed only once and cannot be retrieved later.
  • Select Download to save it as a text file, store it securely for use later, then select Close.

Find your contract number

Your contract number identifies the IONOS Cloud contract the connection reads. The Contract Number field is optional: leave it empty to use the contract the token was generated for.

Open the account menu

Select Menu, then click your initials in the top navigation bar. The drop-down shows your contract number.

  • You can also find it under Your Profile > My Customer Data as Contract Number.
  • Paste it into the Contract Number field in StackOne Hub.
  • Example: 31000000

Connect

  • Click Connect.
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup.
