Ensure you have Admin privileges within your Intercom account.

Get Your Intercom Access Token

This connection will be authenticated on behalf of a Private Intercom App you will create in your Intercom Developer Hub.

Navigate to Developer Hub

Sign in to your Intercom Dashboard.

  • Click on the Settings icon in the bottom left corner.
  • Navigate to Integrations in the menu.
  • Click on Developer Hub.

Create a New App

In the Developer Hub, click the New app button.

Enter App Details

In the New app dialog, enter the app details.

  • Enter a name for your app (e.g., “StackOne Integration”)
  • Ensure the correct Workspace is selected.

Create App

Click the Create app button to proceed.

Copy Access Token

Your new App’s Access Token will be listed under the Authentication section. Copy your Access Token and store it securely for use later.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • Access Token

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
