Obtain your API Key and User ID

Generate your API key and find your User ID from your Hive profile settings.

Open your Hive profile

Navigate to the profile settings page in the Hive app.

  • Sign in to your Hive account at app.hive.com
  • Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner
  • Select My Profile from the dropdown menu

Generate an API key and copy your User ID

Open the API Info tab to generate an API key and retrieve your User ID.

  • Click the API Info tab on your profile page
  • Click Generate Key to create a new API key
  • Copy the API Key value and store it securely
  • Copy the User ID displayed on the same page
  • Important: The API key grants full access to your Hive workspace, so it should be kept secure.

  • Both the API key and User ID are required for all API requests
  • A new API key can be regenerated at any time from the same API Info tab
  • Refer to the Hive API authentication documentation for further details

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Key
  • User ID

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
