Create a Help Scout app

Register an application in Help Scout to obtain OAuth 2.0 credentials for API access.

Sign in to Help Scout

Sign in to your Help Scout account.

  • Click your profile avatar and select Your Profile.
  • In the left sidebar, click My Apps.

Create a new application

Click Create App and complete the form.

  • Application Name: StackOne Integration
  • Redirect URL: https://api.stackone.com/connect/oauth2/helpscout/callback
  • Click Create to save.

Copy your credentials

Your App ID (Client ID) and App Secret (Client Secret) are now displayed. Copy both values and store securely for use later.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • App ID (Client ID)
  • App Secret (Client Secret)

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
