Access to your GitBook Developer Settings is required to generate a Personal Access Token.

Generating a Personal Access Token

To connect GitBook with StackOne, you’ll need to generate a Personal Access Token from your GitBook account.

Access Developer Settings

Sign in to your GitBook account and navigate to Settings (bottom in sidebar) > Developer Settings.

Create a new access token

Click the Create new token button or similar option to generate a new Personal Access Token.

  • Enter a descriptive name for your token (e.g., StackOne Integration)
  • The token will be displayed only once after creation

Copy the access token

Copy the generated Personal Access Token and store it securely for use later.

  • Format: gb_api_ followed by alphanumeric characters
  • Note: If you lose your token, you’ll need to generate a new one

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • Personal Access Token

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
