A Filevine account with API access is required. Contact your Filevine administrator to obtain API credentials.

Obtain API Credentials

Generate API credentials from your Filevine account settings.

Access API Settings

Log in to your Filevine account and navigate to Settings > Integrations > API Keys.

  • Click New API Key or go to the Client Secret tab.
  • Copy the Client ID and Client Secret values.
  • Store the Client Secret securely — it may only be shown once.

Find Your Organization ID

Your Organization ID is required for all API requests.

  • Contact your Filevine administrator or check your account settings for the Org ID.
  • This is sent as the x-fv-orgId header on every request.

Select Your Region

Choose the region that matches your Filevine deployment.

Identify Region

Check your Filevine account URL to determine your region.

  • US — URL contains filevineapp.com
  • Canada — URL contains filevineapp.ca
  • CJIS — URL contains filevinegov.com

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • Organization ID
  • API Host
  • Identity Host

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
