You need access to your FastSpring Dashboard with permissions to access Developer Tools. The API password is only shown once during creation and cannot be retrieved later.

Generate API Credentials

FastSpring uses HTTP Basic Authentication with a username and password generated from the FastSpring Dashboard.

Sign in to FastSpring

Sign in to your FastSpring Dashboard.

Navigate to API Credentials

Navigate to Developer Tools > APIs > API Credentials.

Create new credentials

Click Create to automatically generate a new API username and password.

  • Copy the Username and Password immediately
  • FastSpring only displays your password during the initial creation session
  • Store both credentials securely as the password cannot be retrieved later
  • If you lose your password, you must reset your credentials and update all dependent integrations

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Username
  • API Password

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
