Only users with the Owner role can create or modify Admin API applications in the Duo Admin Panel.

Create an Admin API Application

To connect Duo with StackOne, create an Admin API application in the Duo Admin Panel.

Sign in to Duo Admin Panel

Sign in to your Duo Admin Panel.

Navigate to Applications

In the left sidebar, navigate to Applications > Protect an Application.

  • Search for “Admin API” in the application list
  • Click Protect next to “Admin API”

Configure Permissions

On the application settings page, configure the required permissions.

  • Enable Grant read resource for read-only access to users, groups, phones, and tokens
  • Enable Grant write resource for write access to users, groups, phones, and tokens
  • Enable Grant administrators for access to administrator management
  • Enable Grant applications for access to integration management
  • Enable Grant settings for access to account settings
  • Enable Grant read log for access to authentication, admin, and telephony logs

Copy Credentials

Copy the following credentials and store them securely.

  • Integration Key: Your API integration key (starts with DI)
  • Secret Key: Your API secret key (used for HMAC signing)
  • API Hostname: Your unique API hostname (e.g., api-XXXXXXXX.duosecurity.com)

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • Integration Key
  • Secret Key
  • API Hostname

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
