Generate an API Key

An API key is required to authenticate requests to the Dropbox Sign API.

Navigate to API Settings

Sign in to Dropbox Sign and navigate to your API Settings page. You can also reach this by clicking your username in the top-right corner, selecting My Settings, and then clicking the API tab.

Generate a New Key

Click Generate key, enter a descriptive name for the key (e.g., “StackOne Integration”), and click Generate key to create it.

Copy the API Key

Copy the generated API key and store it securely for use later. You can have up to four API keys per account.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Key

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
