You need Account Admin access, or a role with the Manage API credentials permission, to create API keys. Only Account Admins can see the account’s data center.

Get your Customer.io App API key

The App API key gives StackOne access to your workspace’s campaigns, broadcasts, segments, messages and other App API data.

Open Account settings

Sign in to your Customer.io account.

  • Click the settings icon in the top right corner.
  • Select Account settings.

Open API credentials

On the Account settings page, click API credentials.

Create an App API key

Click the App API keys tab, then click Create App API key.

  • Name: enter a name that identifies the key, e.g. StackOne Integration.
  • Click Create App API key in the new row to save the key.

Copy the API key

The New API key dialog shows your new key. Copy it and paste it into the App API Key field in StackOne Hub.

  • The API key is shown only once and cannot be retrieved later. Store it securely for use later.
  • Click Finish to close the dialog.

Find your data center

The App API Region field tells StackOne which Customer.io data center hosts your account.

Check the Data center

Go back to Account settings and click Privacy & data. The Data center panel shows where your account is hosted.

  • If it shows European Data center, select European Union (api-eu) in the App API Region field in StackOne Hub.
  • Otherwise, select United States (api).

Connect

  • Click Connect.
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup.
