Administrator privileges are required to enable API access for your organization if it is turned off.

Enable API Access (Administrators)

API access is turned off by default. An organization administrator must allow API access before keys can be used.

1

Open User Roles Settings

Sign in to Crelate as an administrator and navigate to your organization’s security settings.

  • Go to Settings
  • Open the User Roles tab
2

Allow API Access

Under the Misc section, set the API Access switch to Allowed.

Generate Your API Key

Create an API key from your personal settings to authenticate with the Crelate API.

1

Open My Settings & Preferences

Click your profile in the top-right corner and select Settings > My Settings & Preferences.

2

Toggle On the API Key

In the API Key section, toggle the switch on. An API key is automatically generated.

  • To rotate the key later, click Regenerate New Key. Note that regenerating voids any references using the old key.
3

Copy the API Key

Copy the generated API key and paste it into the API Key field in StackOne. Store it securely.
