Getting Your API Credentials

You need your API Key, User ID, and company subdomain to connect.

Find Your Company Subdomain

Your subdomain is the first part of your ClayHR URL. For example, if you access ClayHR at https://acmecompany.clayhr.com, your subdomain is acmecompany.

Generate Your API Key

In the ClayHR app:

  • Hover over your user record in the top right corner
  • Click on My Integrations
  • Switch to the Manage API Keys tab
  • Click Generate API keys
  • Click show to copy your API key

Find Your User ID

Your User ID is displayed on the same My Integrations screen where you generated your API key, or on your user record page.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • Company Subdomain
  • API Key
  • User ID

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
