Generate an API Key
An API key authenticates requests to the Checkr API. You’ll need to create one in your Checkr dashboard.

Sign in to Checkr
Sign in to your Checkr account.
- Go to Account Settings > Developer Settings > API Keys.

Create and copy key
Click Create Key and select Secret key type.
- Copy the secret key immediately and store it securely.
- Secret keys are used for server-side API access. Publishable keys are for client-side only and cannot be used here.
- Compromised keys can be revoked immediately through Developer Settings.
Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub
Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields
Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
- API Key

Connect
- Click Connect
- If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
- Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
