Generate an API key

An API key authenticates requests to the Campfire API. The key inherits the permissions of the user role that created it.

Sign in to Campfire

Sign in to your Campfire account.

  • Navigate to Settings > API Keys.

Create and copy key

Click Create API Key and provide a descriptive name (e.g., StackOne Integration).

  • Copy the API key immediately and store it securely for use later.
  • This key is shown only once — it cannot be retrieved after the dialog is closed.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Key

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
