Create an API token

Black Duck does not expose a public multi-tenant API — each customer has
their own server URL and issues its own tokens.

Find your Server URL

Note the base URL of your Black Duck instance — this is the Server URL value.

Format: https://{subdomain}.blackduck.com
Example: https://acme.blackduck.com

Open your account menu

Sign in to your Black Duck instance, then select your username in the top right.

Create an Access Token

Select Access Tokens, then Create New Token. Choose the scopes needed and copy the token — this is the API Token value, shown only once.

Connect

  • Click Connect.
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup.
