Admin access to your Ashby account is required to generate an API key.

Generating an API key

To connect Ashby with StackOne, you’ll need to generate an API key from your Ashby account.

Sign in to Ashby

Sign in to your Ashby account.

  • Click the Admin button on the top bar.
  • In the left menu bar, click Integrations to expand the menu.
  • Click API Keys.

Add a new API key

Click New to open the new API key form.

  • Enter a descriptive name such as StackOne Integration.
  • Click Create API Key.

Select the API key permissions

Select the permissions that match the data and operations you need. The candidatesRead permission is required at minimum to connect Ashby with StackOne.

Configure other permissions

Choose any additional access the key needs, then save.

  • Select Other Permissions as per your use cases.
  • Click Save and Continue.

Copy the API key

Copy the generated key and store it securely for use later.

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • API Key

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
