Your vanity URL is assigned by your AbsenceSoft implementation team and is required for every request. Use Portal credentials whose role grants the access your integration needs — the token inherits that user’s permissions.

Gather your AbsenceSoft credentials

You need three values: your organization’s vanity URL, a Portal username, and its password.

1

Find your vanity URL

Your AbsenceSoft API hosts are vanity-scoped, e.g. https://<vanityUrl>.auth.absencetracker-api.com for authentication and https://<vanityUrl>.case.absencetracker-api.com for case data. The <vanityUrl> portion (e.g. “acme”) was assigned during implementation.

  • Enter only the subdomain prefix (e.g. “acme”), not the full URL.
  • Contact your AbsenceSoft implementation team if you are unsure of your vanity URL.
2

Use Portal credentials

Provide the username (or email) and password of a Portal user whose role grants the access your integration requires.

  • The access token inherits this user’s role and permissions.
  • A locked, disabled, or password-expired account will fail authentication.
