Create the token from the account of a team Owner. Vercel has no read-only token. A team token can read and change all of the team’s resources, across every project, with the permissions of the person who creates it, and StackOne’s write actions use it to invite, update and remove members. Vercel documents only Owners as able to invite people, change roles and remove members. It documents that a Contributor cannot list team members, and it does not say which other roles can list members and Access Groups. Team roles need a Pro or Enterprise plan. Access Groups need an Enterprise plan; on other plans the unified groups list is empty and the Access Group actions fail. If the team requires two-factor authentication or SAML, set that up before creating the token.

Create the access token

A Vercel access token belongs to your personal account and reaches only the team or project you scope it to.

1

Sign in to Vercel

Sign in to your Vercel account as a team Owner.

  • In the team switcher at the top left of the navigation bar, make sure you are viewing your personal account and not a team.
  • Open the Account Tokens page, found under the Settings area of your account.
2

Name the token

Enter a descriptive token name.

  • Token name: StackOne Integration
3

Choose the team

Open Scope and select the team StackOne should read.

  • If Vercel then shows a project list, select All Projects. A token for one project cannot reach team resources.
  • Do not select Full Account. It reaches your personal account and every team you belong to.
4

Choose an expiration and create

Choose an expiration, then select Create.

  • Vercel offers expiration dates from 1 day to 1 year. Pick one that covers how long the connection should run.
  • Once the expiration date passes, the token stops working and the connection fails until you paste a new token into StackOne Hub.
5

Copy the token

Copy the token and store it securely for use later.

  • The token is shown once, and you cannot retrieve it later.
  • Paste it into the Access Token field in StackOne Hub.

Find your Team ID

The Team ID is the unchangeable identifier Vercel assigns when a team is created. It is optional. Leave it empty and StackOne uses the team the token is scoped to. If StackOne finds no team, or several, the connection stops with a message asking for the Team ID.

1

Open the team settings

Select your team in the team switcher, open Settings in the sidebar and choose General.

  • Or open https://vercel.com/teams/{team slug}/settings#team-id, replacing {team slug} with the part of the address after vercel.com/ when you view your team.
2

Copy the Team ID

Scroll down to the Team ID section and copy the value.

  • Format: starts with team_
  • Example: team_AbCd1234
  • Paste it into the Team ID field in StackOne Hub.

Revoke the token

To stop StackOne from reading your team, delete the token. The connection stops authenticating.

  • Open the Account Tokens page from your personal account.
  • Delete the token you created for StackOne.
