Creating an API key
Brandfetch issues API keys from the developer portal. An API key is a server side credential
that reaches the Brand API, the Brand Context API and the Transaction API.
Sign in to Brandfetch
Sign in to your Brandfetch developer account.
- Choose Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub, or enter your address in Enter your email address and click Sign in.
- Select Sign up instead if you do not have an account yet.

Open Keys and MCP
In the sidebar, click Keys & MCP.

Open the API Keys section
The API Keys section holds your server side credentials. Click Add API key.
- The section is labeled Server side credentials for Brand API, Brand Context API and Transaction API.
- A new account already has one key named Starter Key, described as We auto-generated this key for you when you signed up. You can use that key instead of creating a new one.

Name and create the key
Complete the Create API key dialog, then click Create.
- Name:
StackOne Integration - Description:
Integration with StackOne - The dialog notes Ensure you keep it safe, do not share it publicly.

Copying your API key
The new key appears in the API Keys table under the API key column, shortened to its
first and last characters.
Copy the API key
On the row for your key, click the eye icon to reveal the full value and the copy icon to
copy it to your clipboard.
- Paste it into the API Key field in StackOne Hub.
- The value stays available in Keys & MCP, so you can reveal and copy it again later.
- Store it securely — it is a secret and must not be used in client-side code.
