Prerequisites
Verify you have the necessary plan and permissions before starting setup.
- An Asana organization on the Enterprise or Enterprise+ plan (audit log events and organization exports require Enterprise+, Legacy Enterprise, or the Compliance Management add-on)
- Super admin access to the Asana Admin Console
Create a Service Account
Create a Service Account in the Admin Console and copy its token.
Open the Admin Console
Sign in to Asana as a super admin and open the Admin Console.
- Navigate to the Apps tab.
- Select Service accounts.
Add the Service Account
Click Add service account to create a new Service Account.
- Enter a name (e.g.,
StackOne Integration). - Choose Full permissions to use every action in this connector, or choose scoped permissions and enable Audit logs and Exporting if you only need audit log events and organization exports.
- Save the Service Account.
Copy the token
Copy the Service Account token immediately and store it securely for use later — it is displayed only once.
- If the token is lost, regenerate it from Apps > Service accounts in the Admin Console.
- A newly created token can take a few minutes to become active.
Find your Workspace ID
Your Workspace ID identifies which Asana organization to connect.
- Check your browser address bar when signed in to Asana.
- Format:
https://app.asana.com/0/{workspace_id}/... - Example: if your URL is
https://app.asana.com/0/1201234567890123/home, your Workspace ID is1201234567890123
Linking the Account from the Hub
Navigate to the Hub
Fill out the fields
- Service Account Token
- Workspace ID
- Project IDs (Optional)
Connect
- Click Connect
- If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
- Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup
If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
