Admin privileges or a custom role with appropriate resource permissions are required to create API access tokens.

Creating an API Access Token

To connect LaunchDarkly with StackOne, you’ll need to create an API access token from your LaunchDarkly account.

1

Access Authorization Settings

Sign in to your LaunchDarkly account and navigate to Authorization settings.

  • Click the gear icon in the left sidebar at the bottom to view Organization settings
  • Click Authorization from sidebar to access the Access token page
2

Create a New Token

In the Access tokens section, click Create token to generate a new API access token.

3

Configure Token Settings

Enter the token configuration details.

  • Name: Enter a descriptive name (e.g., StackOne Integration)
  • Role: Select an appropriate role based on your needs (Reader for read-only access, Writer for modifications, Admin for full access (Recommended))
  • Check This is a service token for long-term integrations
  • Note: Service token permissions are permanently fixed after creation and cannot be edited
4

Copy the Access Token

After creating the token, copy the API access token immediately and store it securely for use later.

  • Important: The token is only displayed once. If you leave or refresh the page, it will be obscured and cannot be retrieved
  • Format: api-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
