Find Your App (Environment) ID

The App (Environment) ID (also called Environment ID) is required to authenticate all Heap server-side API calls.

Locate App (Environment) ID

Sign in to Heap, then navigate to Account > Manage > Projects from the left sidebar.

  • Each environment (Production, Development, etc.) has its own unique App (Environment) ID named as ID just below the environment name.
  • Copy the App (Environment) ID for the environment you want to connect.
  • Use the Development environment for testing to avoid polluting production data.

Select Your Data Region

Choose the region that matches where your Heap data is hosted.

Identify Region

Check your Heap account settings or contract to determine your data region.

  • US (default) - Most accounts use the US region
  • EU - Select this if your Heap instance is hosted in the EU data center

Linking the Account from the Hub

Navigate to the Hub

Use one of the three Linking Account Methods to access the Hub.

Fill out the fields

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:
  • App (Environment) ID
  • Region

Connect

  • Click Connect
  • If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider’s authorization flow.
  • Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your Accounts page.
