# Connect Zoho Bigin with Self Client – StackOne Hub

> Link a Zoho Bigin account in the StackOne Hub using Self Client. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Zoho Bigin actions.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Any Bigin user can create the Self Client and generate its code; no Administrator profile is needed to set it up. StackOne then acts as that user in the one Bigin organization picked when the code is generated, so the user's profile limits what StackOne can read and change. Adding, updating and deleting users needs the Administrator profile. Keep the Client Secret and the refresh token private.

## Create the Self Client

The Self Client is a Zoho app that belongs to your own Zoho account and needs no browser sign-in.

**1. Open the Self Client**

Sign in to the Zoho API Console for your data center, for example the [Zoho API Console (US)](https://api-console.zoho.com) or the [Zoho API Console (India)](https://api-console.zoho.in).

<ul>
  <li>If **Self Client** is already under **Applications**, click it.</li>
  <li>Otherwise click **ADD CLIENT**, click **CREATE NOW** on the **Self Client** card, and confirm.</li>
</ul>

**2. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret**

Open the **Client Secret** tab of the Self Client.

<ul>
  <li>Click the copy icon next to **Client ID** and paste it into StackOne Hub.</li>

## Get a refresh token

StackOne needs a refresh token, not the code from the **Generate Code** tab. You turn the code into a refresh token once.

**1. Fill in the Generate Code form**

Enables actions: Add Records, Add Tags, Add Tags To Records, Add User, Change Record Owner, Check User Access, Create Bulk Read Job, Create Bulk Write Job, Delete Profile Photo, Delete Records, Delete Tags, Delete User, Delink Related Records, Disable Notifications, Download Bulk Read Result, Download Bulk Write Result, Download Profile Photo, Enable Notifications, Get Bulk Read Job Details, Get Bulk Write Job Details, Get Custom View, Get Custom Views, Get Deleted Records, Get Fields, Get Files, Get From Addresses, Get Layouts, Get Module, Get Modules, Get Notification Details, Get Organization, Get Profiles, Get Record, Get Records, Get Records (COQL), Get Records Count, Get Related Lists, Get Related Records, Get Roles, Get Team Pipeline Records, Get Team Pipeline Records Related To Contact, Get Unified Credentials, Get Unified Role, Get Unified User, List Unified Roles, List Unified Users, Remove Tags From Records, Search Records, Send Mail, Update Notification Details, Update Notification Info, Update Records, Update Related Records, Update Specific User, Update Tags, Update Users, Upload Bulk Write File, Upload Files, Upload Organization Image, Upload Profile Photo, Upsert Records

Open the **Generate Code** tab of the Self Client.

<ul>
  <li>In **Scope**, enter the scopes below, separated by commas.</li>
  <li>In **Code expiry duration**, select **10 minutes**.</li>
  <li>In **Description**, enter what the code is for, for example `Integration with StackOne`.</li>
  <li>Click **CREATE**.</li>
</ul>

**2. Select your Bigin organization**

Zoho shows **Select Portal**.

<ul>
  <li>Click **Bigin**.</li>
  <li>Under **Production**, select your Bigin organization. StackOne can only reach this organization.</li>
  <li>Click **CREATE**.</li>
</ul>

![The Select Portal screen with Bigin, the organization and the CREATE button highlighted](https://mintcdn.com/stackone-60/vWegVp02aFgwqKOQ/connectors/zohobigin/images/oauth2-self-client-config-select-portal.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=vWegVp02aFgwqKOQ\&q=85\&s=4875da904640f66dd83c31b9c257c6c2)

**3. Copy the code**

Zoho shows the **Generated Code**.

<ul>
  <li>Click **COPY**.</li>
  <li>The code works once, and only for the time you selected in **Code expiry duration**.</li>
  <li>The code is only displayed in this window and cannot be retrieved later. To keep a copy, click **DOWNLOAD**.</li>
</ul>

![The Generated Code window with the COPY button highlighted](https://mintcdn.com/stackone-60/vWegVp02aFgwqKOQ/connectors/zohobigin/images/oauth2-self-client-config-generated-code.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=vWegVp02aFgwqKOQ\&q=85\&s=7ed3cd8d1093796d3c915efb3435add7)

**4. Request the refresh token**

Before the code expires, send it to the Zoho token endpoint of your data center. Replace `zoho.com` with your data center domain, such as `zoho.eu` or `zoho.in`, and fill in your own values:

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST "https://accounts.zoho.com/oauth/v2/token" \
  -d "grant_type=authorization_code" \
  -d "client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID" \
  -d "client_secret=YOUR_CLIENT_SECRET" \
  -d "code=YOUR_CODE"
```

<ul>
  <li>Copy the `refresh_token` value from the response into StackOne Hub.</li>
  <li>If the response says `invalid_code`, the code was already used or has expired. Generate a new code and send it again straight away.</li>
  <li>The refresh token has no expiry, so you do this only once.</li>
</ul>

## Connect in StackOne Hub

Select **Self Client**, then fill in the form.

<ul>
  <li>**Data Center**: the Zoho region in your Bigin address, for example `bigin.zoho.in` is India (IN).</li>
  <li>**Client ID** and **Client Secret**: from the Self Client's **Client Secret** tab.</li>
  <li>**Refresh Token**: the `refresh_token` from the token response, not the code.</li>
</ul>

## Revoke access

To stop StackOne from using your Bigin account, delete the Self Client in the Zoho API Console. The refresh token stops working and the connection fails until a new Self Client is set up.

## Link the Account

**1. Connect**

<ul>
  <li>Click **Connect**.</li>
  <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
  <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup.</li>
</ul>

**2. Use Actions**

Connect an AI platform to the linked account's actions. See [AI Platforms](https://docs.stackone.com/connect/ai-platforms/overview.md).

Other ways to call actions are listed in [Protocols & SDKs](https://docs.stackone.com/connect/protocols-and-sdks.md).
