# Connect Wistia with API Token – StackOne Hub

> Link a Wistia account in the StackOne Hub using API Token. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Wistia actions.

<Warning>Only the Account Owner can create, edit, or manage API tokens. Contact your Account Owner if you need token access.</Warning>

  <h2>Generate API Token</h2>

  <p>Create an API token for API authentication in your Wistia account.</p>

    <Step title="Navigate to API Settings">

        <p>Access the API tab in Account Settings.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Sign in to your <a href="https://wistia.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Wistia account</a></li>
          <li>Navigate to <strong>Account</strong> > <strong>Settings</strong></li>
          <li>Click the <strong>API Home</strong> tab in the sidebar</li>
        </ul>

    <Step title="Create API Token">

        <p>Generate and save your new access token.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Click the <strong>New token</strong> button</li>
          <li>Enter a nickname for the token (e.g., "StackOne Integration")</li>
          <li>Select the appropriate scopes/permissions</li>
          <li>Click <strong>Create</strong></li>
          <li>Copy the token value immediately and store it securely</li>
          <li>Note: Tokens are only copyable immediately after creation - they cannot be viewed after refreshing the page</li>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

  <Steps>
    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>API Token</strong></li>
      </ul>

    <Step title="Connect">
      <ul>
        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
