# Connect Teamwork with API Token – StackOne Hub

> Link a Teamwork account in the StackOne Hub using API Token. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Teamwork actions.

  <h2>Generating an API token</h2>

  <p>Your API token authenticates requests to Teamwork.</p>

    <Step title="Sign in to Teamwork">

        <p>Sign in to your <a href="https://www.teamwork.com/launchpad/login" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Teamwork account</a>.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Click on your <strong>profile avatar</strong> in the bottom left corner.</li>
          <li>Select <strong>Edit my details</strong> from the menu.</li>
        </ul>

    <Step title="Generate the API token">

        <p>In the Edit Profile dialog:</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Click on the <strong>API & Mobile</strong> tab.</li>
          <li>Click <strong>Get API Token</strong> to generate a new token, or <strong>Show your Token</strong> if one already exists.</li>
          <li>Copy the token and store it securely for use later.</li>

  <h2>Find your site name</h2>

  <p>Your site name is the subdomain in your Teamwork URL.</p>

  <ul>
    <li>Check your browser address bar when signed in to Teamwork.</li>
    <li>Format: `{sitename}.teamwork.com` or `{sitename}.eu.teamwork.com` (EU accounts)</li>
    <li>Example: if your URL is `https://acme.teamwork.com`, your site name is `acme`</li>
    <li>Example: if your URL is `https://acme.eu.teamwork.com`, your site name is `acme.eu`</li>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

  <Steps>
    <Step title="Navigate to the Hub">
      Use one of the three <a href="/guides/accounts-section#linking-accounts">Linking Account Methods</a> to access the Hub.
    </Step>

    <Step title="Fill out the fields">
      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

      <ul>
        <li><strong>API Token</strong></li>
        <li><strong>Site Name</strong></li>
      </ul>
    </Step>

    <Step title="Connect">
      <ul>
        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
      </ul>
    </Step>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
