# Connect SignWell with API Key – StackOne Hub

> Link a SignWell account in the StackOne Hub using API Key. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using SignWell actions.

## Generate your API key

Your SignWell API key authenticates every request this connection makes and is generated\
from your workspace's API settings.

**1. Open API settings**

Sign in to your [SignWell account](https://www.signwell.com/app/log_in/).

  <li>Click the **Settings** icon in the top navigation bar.</li>
  <li>In the left sidebar, select **API**.</li>

**2. Create and copy the key**

On the **API** page, click **Create an API Key & Get Started**.

<ul>
  <li>The key appears in the **Your API Key** field. Click **Copy** to copy it.</li>
  <li>The key stays visible on this page, so you can return to **Settings** > **API** at any time to copy it again.</li>
  <li>Store it securely for use later.</li>
</ul>

## Linking the Account from the Hub

**1. Navigate to the Hub**

Use one of the three [Linking Account Methods](https://docs.stackone.com/connect/managing-connectors/linking-accounts.md) to access the Hub.

**2. Fill out the fields**

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

<ul>
  <li>**API Key**</li>
  <li>**API Application ID (optional)** (Optional)</li>
</ul>

**3. Connect**

<ul>
  <li>Click **Connect**</li>
  <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
  <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
</ul>

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account on your [Accounts](https://app.stackone.com/accounts) page.
