# Shippo OAuth 2.0 connector profile – StackOne setup guide

> Set up the OAuth 2.0 connector profile for Shippo in StackOne. One-time admin setup required before your users can link Shippo accounts via Hub.

## How Shippo OAuth credentials are issued

Shippo does not offer self-service OAuth app registration — there is no screen in the Shippo dashboard to create an OAuth application. Instead, Shippo provisions a Client ID and Client Secret for your integration when you apply to become a Shippo partner. Request them first, then enter them in the StackOne Connector profile.

**1. Apply to become a Shippo partner**

Submit the application on the [Become a Shippo Partner](https://goshippo.com/become-a-shippo-partner) page and request OAuth credentials for your integration. For partnership questions you can also reach the [Shippo partnerships team](mailto:partnerships@goshippo.com).

<ul>
  <li>Provide your **Company's Name** — it is shown to users during the OAuth flow.</li>
  <li>Provide your **Contact Email**.</li>
  <li>Provide a brief description of your use case.</li>
  <li>Give Shippo this StackOne callback URL: `https://api.stackone.com/connect/oauth2/shippo/callback`</li>
</ul>

**2. Get your Client ID and Client Secret**

After Shippo approves your application, they send you a **Client ID** (your unique partner ID) and a **Client Secret** (your Shippo OAuth secret key, which is different from your Shippo API token).

<ul>
  <li>Shippo OAuth grants full API access through its single `*` scope.</li>
  <li>The access token does not expire, so no re-authentication is required once you connect.</li>
</ul>

**3. Enter your credentials in StackOne**

Enter the values Shippo provided in the StackOne Connector profile.

<ul>
  <li>Paste the **Client ID** into the **Client ID** field in the StackOne Connector profile.</li>
  <li>Paste the **Client Secret** into the **Client Secret** field in the StackOne Connector profile.</li>
  <li>Store the **Client Secret** securely and never expose it in client-side code.</li>
</ul>

## Creating the StackOne Connector Profile

To create the Connector Profile in StackOne for **Shippo**:

**1. Open the connector**

Log in to StackOne, open [Connectors](https://app.stackone.com/connectors), and select **Shippo**.

**2. Choose actions and events**

<ul>
  <li>Click **Add Profile**.</li>
  <li>If the connector offers more than one authentication method, set the **Auth Method** filter to **OAuth 2.0**.</li>
  <li>Select the actions, and any events, to enable for this Connector Profile.</li>
  <li>Click **Continue**.</li>
</ul>

**3. Set up authentication**

<ul>
  <li>Select **Authentication Type** as **OAuth 2.0**.</li>

  <li>
    Fill out the fields using details retrieved from your provider:

    <ul>
      <li>**Client ID**</li>
      <li>**Client Secret**</li>
    </ul>
  </li>

  <li>Click **Create Profile**.</li>
</ul>

Congratulations! The new Connector Profile now shows up on the connector page. If you created it as a project member rather than an admin, it starts disabled until a project admin enables it. You can now continue to [Link Accounts](https://docs.stackone.com/connect/managing-connectors/linking-accounts.md) for **Shippo**.
