# Connect SEC EDGAR with User-Agent – StackOne Hub

> Link a SEC EDGAR account in the StackOne Hub using User-Agent. End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using SEC EDGAR actions.

  <h2>Creating Your User-Agent</h2>

  <p>SEC EDGAR requires all API requests to include a User-Agent header identifying your organization. You create this value yourself — it is not issued by the SEC.</p>

        <p>Combine your company or application name with a valid admin contact email address, separated by a space.</p>

        <ul>
          <li>Format: `CompanyName email@company.com`</li>
          <li>Example: `Acme Corp admin@acme.com`</li>
          <li>The SEC uses this to identify your requests and apply per-caller rate limits (10 req/sec)</li>
          <li>A missing or generic value (e.g. a shared address) may cause your requests to be throttled or blocked</li>

  <h2>Linking the Account from the Hub</h2>

      Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

        <li><strong>User-Agent</strong></li>

        <li>Click <strong>Connect</strong></li>
        <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
        <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>

  <p>If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account in your <a href="/guides/accounts-section">Accounts</a> page.</p>
