# Connect Pushwoosh with API Token (Server and Device) – StackOne Hub

> Link a Pushwoosh account in the StackOne Hub using API Token (Server and Device). End-user guide to authorize the integration and start using Pushwoosh actions.

> [!WARNING]
>
> StackOne cannot check the Device API token when you connect. Make sure you copy a valid token with token type `device` and grant it the same projects, otherwise device, user, event, email and inbox actions fail later.

## Generating a Server API token

The Server API token covers the Pushwoosh management, messaging and statistics APIs. You create a Device API token in the next section.

**1. Sign in to Pushwoosh**

Sign in to your [Pushwoosh account](https://app.pushwoosh.com) and open the project you want to connect.

<ul>
  <li>In the left sidebar, expand **Settings** and click **API Access**.</li>
</ul>

**2. Open the token generator**

On the **API Access** page, click **Generate New Token**.

**3. Create a server token**

Fill in the **Generate New Token** form.

<ul>
  <li>**Token type**: `server`</li>
  <li>**Name**: `StackOne Integration`</li>
  <li>Click **Generate**.</li>
</ul>

**4. Open the server token settings**

A new token has no project access until you assign it. Click the three-dot menu on the **StackOne Integration** row with token type `server` and select **Edit token…**.

**5. Review permissions and allowed IPs**

On the **Edit API Token Permissions** page, keep all four permissions enabled so every connector action works.

<ul>
  <li>**Account modification**</li>
  <li>**Applications modification**</li>
  <li>**Tags modification**</li>
  <li>**Message sending & deleting**</li>
  <li>Leave **Allowed IP addresses** empty to allow the token from anywhere, or list the IP addresses StackOne calls from.</li>
</ul>

**6. Select projects for the server token**

Under **Applications**, tick every project StackOne should manage, then click **Save**.

**7. Copy the Server API token**

Back on **Settings** > **API Access**, hover over the **StackOne Integration** row with token type `server` and click **Copy**.

<ul>
  <li>Paste it into the **Server API Token** field in StackOne Hub.</li>
</ul>

## Generating a Device API token

The Device API token covers devices, device tags, users, events, email subscribers and inbox. Create it on the same **API Access** page.

**1. Create a device token**

Click **Generate New Token** and fill in the form.

<ul>
  <li>**Token type**: `device`</li>
  <li>**Name**: `StackOne Integration`</li>
  <li>Click **Generate**.</li>
</ul>

**2. Select projects for the device token**

Click the three-dot menu on the **StackOne Integration** row with token type `device` and select **Edit token…**. Under **Applications**, tick the same projects as the server token, then click **Save**.

**3. Copy the Device API token**

Back on **Settings** > **API Access**, hover over the **StackOne Integration** row with token type `device` and click **Copy**.

<ul>
  <li>Paste it into the **Device API Token** field in StackOne Hub.</li>
  <li>Check that you copied the row with token type `device`, not the server token. StackOne cannot check this token when you connect.</li>
  <li>Treat both tokens like passwords. Anyone who has them can call the Pushwoosh API for the selected projects, so store them securely for use later.</li>
</ul>

## Linking the Account from the Hub

**1. Navigate to the Hub**

Use one of the three [Linking Account Methods](https://docs.stackone.com/connect/managing-connectors/linking-accounts.md) to access the Hub.

**2. Fill out the fields**

Fill out the following fields using details from your provider:

<ul>
  <li>**Server API Token**</li>
  <li>**Device API Token**</li>
</ul>

**3. Connect**

<ul>
  <li>Click **Connect**</li>
  <li>If applicable, the provider will redirect you to a sign-in or authorization page. Complete the provider's authorization flow.</li>
  <li>Once authorization is successful, you will see a confirmation popup</li>
</ul>

If the account linking is successful, you will see the newly linked account on your [Accounts](https://app.stackone.com/accounts) page.
