# Nextcloud OAuth 2.0 connector profile – StackOne setup guide

> Set up a connector profile using OAuth 2.0 for Nextcloud in StackOne to allow users to link their accounts.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Nextcloud OAuth 2.0 clients belong to one Nextcloud server. A connector profile set up with a client from one server can connect accounts on that server only. StackOne must reach the server over HTTPS with a certificate from a public certificate authority.

## Register an OAuth 2.0 client

An administrator of the Nextcloud server registers StackOne as an OAuth 2.0 client.

**1. Open the OAuth 2.0 settings**

Sign in to Nextcloud as an administrator, select your avatar, then **Administration settings**.

<ul>
  <li>Under **Administration**, select **Security**.</li>
  <li>Scroll to **OAuth 2.0 clients**.</li>
</ul>

**2. Add the client**

Enter a **Name** and a **Redirection URI**, then select **Add**.

<ul>
  <li>**Name**: `StackOne`</li>
  <li>**Redirection URI**: the **Callback URL** from your Connector Profile.</li>
</ul>

**3. Copy the client credentials**

Copy the **Client Identifier** and the **Secret** from the new row in the client list.

<ul>
  <li>Paste the Client Identifier into the **Client ID** field and the Secret into the **Client Secret** field in StackOne.</li>
  <li>Newer Nextcloud versions show the secret only once. Store it securely.</li>
</ul>

## Create the StackOne Connector Profile

**1. Create a Connector Profile**

Enable the connector and create a Connector Profile in your project. See [Setup Connector Profile](https://docs.stackone.com/gateway/quickstart.md#setup-connector-profile).

**2. Link an Account**

Once the Connector Profile is created, continue to [link an account](https://docs.stackone.com/connectors/nextcloud/guides/link-account/oauth-2-0.md).
